Here's what makes our Adventure Treks the best.

► Our setting! We're located in the 14ers region of the Rockies surrounded by 15 mountain peaks over 14,000 feet. Our ranch is about 3 miles "the way the eagle flies" from the Continental Divide.

► Our location! Our ranch is 150 miles southwest of Denver or 3 hours by car; and 120 miles or 2 1/2 hours west of Colorado Springs. US Highways 285 and 50 provide easy access to the Salida area. We are 7 miles west of Salida and 3 miles south of US Highway 50 on a county maintained road.

► The best value! All needed equipment, including sleeping bags, tents, Forest Service fees, charges and taxes are part of the trip price. You bring only your personal items and rain gear.

► Our discounts for children! All Treks are half price for ages 4-12. Children 3 and under are $25.

► Our staff! All trek leaders are seasoned outdoor leaders and certified in first aid and CPR.

► Our small, highly personable treks! We take only you and your guest(s). No vacation with people you don't know. A minimum of two is required. September Fall Foliage Treks are awesome and the beauty is unsurpassed.

2010 Colorado Guided Llama Trips

Welcome To Spruce Ridge Llamas Adventure Treks

Established in 1992, Spruce Ridge Llamas, located in Salida, Colorado, provides guided overnight custom llama pack trips and guided llama day hikes, llama & rafting packages, and llama fall foliage trips. We provide a quality experience at affordable rates and invite you to compare us with other llama outfitters.

Our fully outfitted llama adventures are especially suited for couples, and families with children who are looking for a unique camping experience in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. We provide all the necessary equipment: tents, warm sleeping bags and sleeping pads, camp chairs, stoves, great-tasting homemade food and two experienced guides.

All our treks are alcohol and tobacco-free for your safety. Our food is homestyle with meat or vegetarian selections, fruit and vegetables and homemade desserts.

We strive to provide all the treks listed in our Online Trails Catalog.  However, the availability of these treks is limited by mountain stream runoff and snowpack.

We look forward to providing you with a memorable Colorado Llama Adventure this summer.
