► Our location! Our ranch is 150 miles southwest of Denver,or 3 hours by car; and 120 miles or 2 1/2 hours west of Colorado Springs. US Highways 285 and 50 provide easy access to the Salida area. Our ranch is located 7 miles west of Salida and 3 miles south of US Highway 50 on a county maintained road.

 

► The best value! All needed equipment, including sleeping bags and Forest Service fees, charges and taxes are part of the trip price price. You bring only your personal items and rain gear.

Colorado Guided Llama Trips

Welcome To Spruce Ridge Llamas Adventure Treks Website!

 

Established in 1992, Spruce Ridge Llamas, located in Salida, Colorado, provides guided overnight custom llama pack trips and guided llama day hikes, llama & rafting packages, and llama fall foliage trips.

 

Our fully outfitted llama adventures are especially suited for couples and families with children of all ages who are looking for a unique and unforgettable camping experience in the Rocky Mountains.

 

 

 

Our guests span all ages and all combinations: couples, families, ladies, men, father/son and mother/daughter treks. On our treks, some guests like to climb surrounding peaks, sketch/paint/draw, relax and read a book, photograph the breathtaking scenery, or enjoy stream activities. With your help we’ll pitch our tents and cook our meals. We provide tents, sleeping pads, warm sleeping bags, camp chairs, stoves, quality food and two experienced guides. We also have infant carry backpacks.

 

All our treks are alcohol and tobacco free. Our food (no freeze dried) is home style: vegetables, fruits, meat or vegetarian entrees and homemade desserts.

 

Our Adventure Treks include overnight and day treks. Our Treks usually begin mid morning but this is your vacation so we work with your time schedule, leaving and getting back when you want, getting up and going to bed when you want, and going the distance you want to go. While we strive to provide all the treks referenced in our online Trails Catalog, the availability of many of these trips depend on trail conditions such as snow pack and stream runoff.

Our year 2008 Custom Pack Trip include all equipment, food and experienced and certified guides.

• 2 Days/1 Night, $329/adult
• 3 Days/2 Nights, $499/adult
• Day Trek with Picnic Lunch and Snacks, $79/adult
• Half Day Trek with Snacks, $59/adult.

Children ages 6-12 are Half Price and 5 and under are Free
